tictor
Hi there! Do you guys know where i can find the wire connector show in the pic?The thingy where you weld the wire.Must be available somewhere!Thx
JensH
Thats a tricky part to replace, easy to replicate (cut out in some thin steel) but IMHO difficult to put back due to the risk of making a short: The two rivets need to be isolated not only with the pad you can see, but also when its passing the round lid, making the connection to the self stopping switch/plate behind. tictor
I thought replacing the thing and put new rivets would do the trick! How the pros refurb it then?I don't understand where is the tricky part if we put all the things together. JensH
Might not be that difficult, but you need to isolate the rivets not only by the small square pad you can see but also then they pass through the holes. I have done a few, and used isolating (pvc or equal) from wires cut to size. Its not that difficult to fabricate the 'connector' on top, you just need a small plate to older wire to, and that can take the rivets. Then don't forget the isolating paper plate on the back side!
