Short Back Crank?

What's a Short Back 2.5 crank and can I use it in a 2000 MK2 block to get 2500?

Yes MkII PI crank.

However you need to change the [s]con-rods and[/s] (Duh  :B ) pistons to 2.5. Also if your engine does not have dome-top 2000 pistons then you need a 2.5 head.

Early MkII 2000 head 3.300"
Late MkII 2000 head 3.400"
2.5PI  head 3.400"
2.5S head 3.75"

MK2 conrods same on 2 Litre & 2.5 engines ... Don't forget duplex timing gear also needed & timing cover / 2.5 crank damper / sump pan & dipstick .
