Crank Spigot Bush

Am I right in thinking that the spigot bush in a 2000 crank is 0.750" OD and a 2.5 one is 1.00" OD?

I have lots of spares but they are all 1.00" diameter - as listed for 2000/2500 on Canley site and Rimmers but the 2000 crank I have (out of a 72 2000 auto) has a 0.75" hole.

Detective work leads me to think a GT6 one will fit - but are ALL Mk2 2000 cranks the same?

Also is there any merit in a Torrington bearing rather than a bronze bush?

Yes all MKII cranks are the same in that respect but not all spigot bushes fit in the crank.

Some do, and some fit in the flywheel.

2000's in flywheel, GT6 in crank.

Aha - OK my combo is 2000 crank , Vitesse Flywheel and 2000 saloon gearbox (and yes I will be fitting a modified/longer thrust bearing carrier.)

How does a Mk1 PI get away with that? Bush is huge (1" long) and the flywheel is skinny? Still confused unless a 2.5 crank has a 1" hole in it.

Different arrangement on a MKI, long boss has long spigot bush in crank.
