Hi Nic

Is that Hylomar or similar blue gasket sealant that I can see at the float chamber carb body joint, or is it a blue coloured gasket?

If it is sealant is this where the leak is?  The correct procedure is to use a new gasket without any sealant.  It is possible to recycle an old gasket but look out for leaks which indicates that you DO need a new gasket.

hi ted
its sealant on the gasket,,old one used,,,,the leak is coming from the clip on the side which is held on with small screw
when running it comes out of there
could it be the float needle?
could it be worn float valve causing the overflow of fuel?

thanks nic
