I understand the principle that the logo consists of two flags because the run crosses from England into Scotland and then back into England. So I see why the Scottish flag is used, but why is the Union Jack (the UK flag) used rather than the English flag (cross of St George)? If the Union Jack is used then the Scottish flag should be removed as the Union Jack covers both sides of the border as both nations form part of the UK.
