1300 to 1500 engine swap

Hi all. I have a 1973 mk4 1300 Spit running a Toledo 1300 engine which is on its last legs. Its already had a +30 thou re-bore at some stage. I am considering going for a 1500 swap as I have a spare 1500 gearbox and diff.
Moss Europe reckon no major probs according to the info. in their catalogue.
The mechanical transplant is pretty straightforward but a query on the 1500 twin downpipe from the manifold.
On the 1500 chassis Triumph put a cut-out to give clearance to the downpipe. There is no cut-out on a 1300 chassis. Am I looking at just less clearance to the downpipe or a complete foul on the 1300 chassis. Hopefully maybe someone has been down this road before and knows the answer.
