engine valences,  yes or no?

Keeps some road dirt off of the engine with them on, aids cooling with them removed. The choice is yours, I have 2 x GT6's neither have them fitted. You could fabricate some half valances and get a compromise. One of mine does not like deep puddles as the ignition system is tired and does splutter a bit when it gets soaked with tyres dispersing water onto the distributor and HT leads.

The ones you want to keep are these in front of the radiator. Not only they channel more cool air to the engine bay but also prevent that hot air from the engine bay is sucked forward by under pressure and reducing the cooling capacity of the radiator, upsetting the airflow in the engine bay.
