tiggrr1
A long shot but does anyone have any idea what the adapter is that has been used from the spin on oil filter conversion to allow the piping up of the remote oil filters. The car was at Stoneleigh this year. (didn't get to chat to the owner)
Clive
Looks like a mocal plate for a remote filter.http://www.mocaloilcoolers.co.uk/remote-take-offs.php

tiggrr1
Would I be correct in thinking the thread size for the spin on type oil filter is 3/4 unf ?
Clive
Yep, very common. I have several here that don't fit my triumph engine (I must have bought a half dozen at a show assuming they did, however, will fit my zetec :) )Be aware that apart from the 6 cyl. spin on gizmo, most of the take off plates are ebay fodder at better prices... Tim Bancroft
Why not ring Karl Dandridge up and discuss? I believe he built the car.Mocal who are based at Isleworth are very helpful.
Clive
Mr Tigggerrrrrrryep, even has mocal on the casting. One of those bizarre things where you can buy cheaper from resellers than the main stockist.Saying that, mocal offer great service and have a huge range of gizmos. tiggrr1
Thanks CliveI know what I'm looking for now. I have one or two ideas going round in my head, just busy upgrading my oil and water systems before the 10CR. Hoping to finally build a nice engine for my GT6 after that, extra oil and water cooling/capacity will help reliability :)Tim, Thanks for the suggestion but I don't think I need to bother Karl, he does seem to be a busy sort.
