ferny
Has anyone had any experience of changing one? I've been asked to do it but I don't want to get half way through and get stuck or break some unfathomable sensor. Workshop time is apparently six hours so probably a whole weekend job for a novice! Nick Jones
No idea. Newish and Merc with a book time of 6 hours I'd guess it'd be a howling b*st'd. Book time for cambelt change on my A6 is 5 hours and that took all weekend and a fair amount of skin. Could try asking on Retro-rides in tech section but I suspect the answer will be RLF!NickPS, if charging in beer, bear in mind that Merc dealers will be charging at LEAST £ 100/hour and 6 hours (plus the other 20 odd it might take) adds up to a fair amount of beer! ferny
I've looked into it and it doesn't seem too bad, just loads to take off. Prices from dealers vary from 600-1800 for the job including parts.http://forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/showthread.php?t=74028&highlight=inlet+manifold
