A TR7 16V
Going to replace the driver's door striker plate asap. Quick question: if I take out the three CS screws all at once, are the nuts captive or does a plate fall down the inside of the b post?Any hips or tints would be appreciated.Graham
Sheepy
Not sure about the herald as I'm a spit man (one of the experts will be along soon) But what you could do if you are worried, take out two screws so that it can rotate a little to expose one of the threaded holes, then re fit the screw to hold the captive plate in place, remove the last screw and loosely fit the other screws to hold it.Re fit reverse of this! Cheers 🙂
Nick Jones
There is a tapped plate and it is captive. It can move around but shouldn't fall out of reach.Nick

A TR7 16V
Thanks, I should get to do that tomorow. Just wanted to know if it was captive or if I need to do it the way Sheepy said.Graham.
