TriumphMan
Got one, but I'm in Berkshire - 3 miles from M4 J12. Any good? Could probably get it nearer to you given time - but I guess you may be in a hurry!
ian2000t
Cheers for the replies! My Dad actually found an old door from our first Triumph which has clear glass, so has fitted that for now. Unfortunately it is scratched and it a "Triplex" window, instead of a "Pilkington" like the old one was.Triumphman, any chance yours is a Pilkington? Would be nice to keep the car original if possible as it's a bit special!Fuzzy, I bought EFH from a guy in Nuneaton around 2004-ish. Has been off the road a few years now though, needs a lot of welding but hopefully one day will see the road again. Here's a pic of it when it was my daily driver (I was 19 at the time - used to get so many strange looks driving it!). http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m144/ian2000t/Triumph%20Pics/DSCN2269.jpgIf you have any more info about it, or history of the car I'd love to know, as I didn't really get much history with the car when I bought it! TriumphMan
No the ones I have are Triplex. Pilkington glass wasn't fitted to UK cars, I think.
TriumphMan
Although of course any future glass will be Pilkington, because they acquired all the Triplex moulds and stuff.
ian2000t
Ahh, ok! This one is an Aussie import, so the Pilkington glass in it is probably a bit rare! Even more thanks to whoever smashed the window then! :(Do you know who sells the "new" Pilkington glass?
CRAJ
Perhaps the best place to start is with an automotive glass company, any of the windscreen companies should have contacts for this sort of thing.Colin.
Jonny-Jimbo
I've got a set of untinted with ym Mk2, I'll have a goose to see if they're Pilko's or not.
