boxcorsair
A bit of a tale here so bear with me. I have a mk1 GT6 that arrived with fully functioning door catches and strikers on each door. However once I got door locks and the internal pulls, I realised that my current latches were not correct (locks didn't line up and the locating hole for the interior lock pull was round rather than square). So I managed to track down two replacements catches, fitted them and found that they will not locate into the strikers... I didn't realise there were different profiles. So.... these are the correct door catches...These are the 'incorrect' strikers:This is what happens when I close the door:Can anyone identify the 'incorrect' strikers... if I can track down replacements (also a prob) then I would like to offer up the now redundant matching strikers and catches as they are in good nick etc... but I don't have a clue what they would have originally came from..Cheers allps if anyone needs a set and has the 'missing' strikers going spare, drop me a line for a swap ;)
migntig
The incorrect strikers are exactly the same as the ones on my MkIV Spit and MkIII GT6.Steve.
migntig
Also, the latches on my cars have the same bolt pattern but they have an upside down 'Y' in the pressing, whereas yours are flat in profile, hope you understand what I mean by that. boxcorsair
Cheers migntig... that was a lightning fast response... the door catches I took off do have a Y pressed into them... so looks like the set is from late spitties and/or GT6s...
