I am building a stereo and oil pressure gauge mount, and I have veneered a piece of plywood to exactly match the dashboard (offcut of the very same veneer I used to renew the dash...) and then use the rustin's over the top.It polishes up well, and is good to use. 1 part hardener to 4 parts laquer, stays workable in the jar for 2-3 days.
