blueH
I have re skinned the doors on my herald & have managed after a struggle to fit back the quarter lights, I will be fitting new rubber outer waist seals because old ones are perished, should I bolt the quarter light in position first then fit seal or is better to fit waist seal before quarter light is fixed securely, any observations would be appreciated.Norm
Clive
Hmm, I fitted the quarterlight first, think you would struggle with the seal in place. Needed to trim the seal too, as the large flap wont work in that area. And used sealant (sikaflex adhesive sealant stuff) to stick it in. Still there 14 years on. Lasted better than the rest of the car ;)Clive
blueH
Just had another query about fitting waist seal, should I fit the actual door window first or re-fit after waist seal has been properly fixed in position.Norm-
Richard B
Door glass first, you wont get the base of the frame past the glass seals.
