Keys identification for doors, boot lid etc

My 13/60, although probably this applies to all triumphs, came with only one key for the ignition which does not fit either the doors or the boot lid.

I suppose I could get comepletly new handles and locks but is there a way of identifying what key numbers fit what I have already?

Hi,
    if they are like many other cars the key number will be stamped on the barrel (within the lock).

So somehow you need to dismantle the handle/lock and get access to the barrel.

For the boot lid, I have now managed to get the locking mechanism out..........no sign of a number 🙁
..and in doing so have broken the flange at the end, so will Need a new Barrel anyway .

The boot key number I see usually stamped on the shaft that goes through the latch.

I thought that doors and ignition were same Kay, and bootlid and glovebox were same key.

Might have remembered wrong mind

On my 13/60 the door key and ignition key are the same, but the boot key is different. By chance the boot key is the same as the bonnet locks key that I fitted after I bought the car! So I have 2 keys, but I don't lock the glove box and have no idea whether the keys fit it. Cheers, Dave.

There's a guy on ebay will do the bootlock barrel with any fs key for about £15 delivered, not much more than a pair of keys.
