nick69
Ok ill let you know. Are they the only people that sell doors then guys??
heraldcoupe
All Triumph specialists will be able to supply doors. In my experience, a decent fit is more easily achieved by rebuilding an original door with a new skin. Cheers,Bill.
nick69
I cant as my door was completly destroyed by a 4" steel rod going through it. Plus the fit was terible LOL

If you can find one with a decent frame then any necessary tweaking can be done as part of the re-skinning.Cheers,Bill.
Steve AKA vitessesteve
I got a couple of new old stock doors from Jigsaw at Stoneleigh. Mark might have some left.
Jason
The new ones doors being made by Fitchetts apparently still need some fettling to fit. The tooling is pretty well worn now. I've never seen any in the raw but did see a car with a pair on and I have to say, the fit was not great. Panel fit is always going to require a lot of work irrespective of whether you buy "new" or repaired doors - let's face it inless the rest of teh car is perfect it's always gonna need a tickel or two with the hammer :-)

I wasnt in the car at the time luckily. It was a piece of round bar being bent for some custom work in the factory and the machine went wrong and flew it out the door!!!!LOL at the avatar!! I chose it wisely!! ;DTheres a few on ebay i noticed but cant seem to get the pics i want from the people.

Like Bill says rebuild your own for better fit. We have only sold one new door in the last 8 years and that only to an insurance garage that insisted (despite my protestations) on new. nick69
Fair enough. Im guessing they're not a popular item then LOL.
Jason
Their reputation for poor fit puts everyone off!
nick69
Until someone makes ones that fit well we will rely on used but eventually they will not be available and the bad fit doors will be the only option.I have another classic car, an american one. The doors have long since gone from shop floors and the second hand market has gone sky high because of this.I had to buy 2 replacements for these and the going rate was then $2000 for the pair. Now the rate is closer to $4000 pair.
