Radders
being the new owner of a TR7 convertible, I wondered if there is a modern alternative to sealed beam headlights. I have one gone at the moment and they seem to be selling for about £15 on ebay. I know £15 isn't a great deal of money, but could prove to be everytime a headlight packs up. Is there some kind of halogen conversion?
mikeyb
TR7? Have you gone soft Steve? :-)Google the various Land Rover specialists such as Paddocks, John Craddock etc. You'll get 7" halogens there for less than Ebay!RgdsMike!
Russell
Likewise, I always look on http://www.minispares.com first. For the stuff that's common to our cars they seem to be cheaper. My Spitfire halogens came from there. Proper curved Wipac ones.Russell.

FloydP
Hi Steve, I'm pretty happy with the clear lens contoured reflector type that I got for the GT6, not sure what size the TR7's are but if there 7" the ones from paddocks are a bargain. You can have a look at mine on Wednesday if your at the pub.Cheers,Floyd.http://www.paddockspares.com/pp/DEFENDER/Accessories/Wipac_Crystal_Halogen_Headlamp_Conversion_Kit_(pair)_-_left_hand_dip_(UK_and_Australia).htmlPS the link doesn't seem to work thru the forum so you'll need to copy it into the address box. Radders
Hmmm..... I knew I should have created another account and user name before posting that! I was hoping no-one would notice!Cheers guys, and thanks for all the p*ss taking! :) The reason for the TR7 is thus so: For all my sins I do occasionally like to to go and watch banger racing. (Pauses for the sighs of disbelief!) As you all know all of my other cars are the type that banger drivers would love to kick the windows out of and get round the track. So, rather than take a 2000 or 2500 to the track and come out to find it gone, I've gone for the soft option of buying a car without a roof. Being a convertible, the banger boys wont be interested, and being a TR7, nobody else will be either! :)See you Wednesday!!!!!! :)

wedggie perrin
I have these fitted to my TR7 Available from minispares under "polycarbonate freeform headlamps"The lens is clear so the bulbs really do shine. They are so good in fact if you pull up really close to the car in front and hit full beam you can see their paint blister and smoke!
