John Bonnett
Quoted from BiTurbo228 Very interesting. Exactly the same a Dolly Sprint alloy (although you've got to factor in the weight of spacers for those if fitting to a Spit or GT6) I didn't need any spacers ET20 I think they are. BiTurbo228
Quoted from John Bonnett I didn't need any spacers ET20 I think they are. I meant for the Sprint ones as they're ET35 or somesuch...

John Bonnett
Of no great relevance but perhaps of interest, the new weight of my car after painting but with weight saving measures is now 785kg compared with 820kg before painting.
BiTurbo228
Good to know should be about the p2w of a Delta Integrale!
John Bonnett
Quoted from BiTurbo228 Good to know should be about the p2w of a Delta Integrale! Viewed in those terms, that is impressive and very pleasing. Building light is win all the way in every department particularly when it comes to going round corners.
PeteStupps
Few years old now but I've had this thread bookmarked for a while and have something to add to it. Aluminium bell housing for 3-rail: 3 kg D-type overdrive only (dry, without adapter plate): 9.5 kg 4-pot cylinder head, bare except for guides: 13.5 kg what is clear from this is the weight advantage of running without a cylinder head :) The bell-housing is 2nd hand and I'm not sure if it's a modern repro or an old early Herald / Spit one. Earlier up the thread the cast b/h is quoted as 9kg so ally is quite a saving. Not quite enough to make up for the overdrive, but maybe the shorter prop would even things up. P.S was just using bathroom scales so accuracy is probably only to nearest kg! Pete
