foshi
is it worth trying to achieve more performance from the 1200 unit would like to keep the car original, if so what can be done paul
Clive
There are several variants of the 1200, from 30something bhp in the early 1200, to later heralds with about 50bhp, then the mk1 spit and on to the mk2spitfire at 70something BHP. And all that is with swapping head/cams/manifolds and carbs from production cars. More available with more extreme cams and weber/dellorto carbs. So the answer is yes, depending on what you are starting with and what you want to achieve.
