JamieY Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Shopping around at the moment to upgrade my carbys on the 13/60.Twin SU's or a single weber anyone??? Which option is best??
piman Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Hello JamieY,what other modifications are you planning, as just fitting larger carburettors will not improve things? Often, if doing mild modifications just going up a size, e.g. HS2 to HS4 is practical. I'm not that keen on Webers personally if I had a choice.Alec
JamieY Posted January 7, 2012 Author Posted January 7, 2012 Hi Alec.Just some simple modifications. Getting the head done and compression up. SpitIII Camshaft and carb upgrade - hoping that will be enough to give me the few extra horses i need just to be a bit more nippy on the open roads....
Mark Hammond Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Spit MKlll carbs will up it to 75bhp if the rest is to MKlll spec. Should be fun to drive!Mark
dar Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 i have that set up , twin carbs, spit mk3 cam , mk 3 distributer, 1500 manifould downpipe, uprated neeedles in carbs, and an d type od gearbox, small crank engine ,gose well for a 1300cc a lot better than 1360 set up, for open rd its and up around the hills in wales it is good, but i would try get an od box for it , so you wont have to rev it so much down open rd, duel, motoway.
