What type of carbs are these?

I need to know so I can buy 2x K&N filters and need to know what to order

Looks like SU HS2 carbs. The mnifold flange looks like the fixings are above each other (the HS4 carbs had offset fixings)

Agree, HS2s. Don't forget you'll have to change the needles if you fit K&N filters & ideally fit stub stacks.

Where would I get the correct needles from CahrlieB? Why is this?

This is normal. Fit free flowing air filter, so more air flows. More air needs more fuel, so you need richer needles. Possibly stronger damper springs in the carbs too. Canleys probably sell then, or Andy Turner (sucarbs.com or something)
