Door Linkages Slipping?

I've put some new exterior door handles on my GT6 mk3, the passenger side adjusted fine and everything opens and closes as it should. However the drivers side continually needs readjusting via the 'w' shaped clip on the pin that hangs down from the exterior door handle.
I can get it spot on and it stays that way for a day or two but then something moves and I can only open the door from the outside by using the key again.

Is there something else I can adjust to help here?

then it an drop doon.
