Hmmm? That looks good.

Go on PDU! you know you want to. Looks like you should be able to find something in your stable to use as the donor car!   ;)

I recon a mk1 would look great with this treatment.

I like the one I posted but the lack of the body seam along the top of the sill looks wrong.

Alan, are you feeling OK matey?
That first shot, that car in the baby blue colour? Looks great.  :)
I'd like it, thanks, please send it to me. If that door mirror falls off on the way, that'd be OK.

Actually there is some quite interesting work in it, even the one piece glass and mirror show a certain degree of expertise.   ;)

Yes estately I was thinking . . .                      . . . maybe   ?   ?   ?

If this car drove past in a parade of Triumphs it could almost go un-noticed, it does not seem a great deal different than when a two door Cortina (tinny lightweight) drives past in a flock of them - just another Cortina. Considering the vehicle looks right, is well balanced and is well finished, it deseves far more than your food recycling comment Mr Chatterton.      (naughty)

Remember, some like their cars brown even!       (hand)                 Where is it now?

I saw that car at a show about ten years ago. Duntroon in Otago if I'm not mistaken. I was told that it wasn't a simple weld-up-the-rear-doors proposition, the front doors had been lengthened to keep the proportions right.

Really Alan, it looked very well done!

If I had the money it would be winging it's way to Doncaster.
Look carefully at the car and you will notice it is not just a case of welding up the back doors and fit one piece windows, that would be a simple bolt together job.
The remaining doors have been lengthedned and the B post skillfully moved back by a number of inches. A very well balanced and executed piece of enginering in my opinion, that shows what a wealth of expertise nestles in garages and sheds around the world.

Believe me, I have looked into the costs this afternoon of bringing this car to the UK, If I had the cash that customs and excise would want on top of the shipping I would have bid on the car by now and it would be appearing on a 2000 Register show stand once I had it.

I think it looks superb and shows what else BL could have done with the 2000 shell and a TV8, an Audi S5 40 years ago if you like.

Not quite, but close, never thought of myself as a Triumph GM although did work there in the '70's.
The car was created in the 'Expirimental Department' of the local village panelshop in the mid '90's, not too far from the place of which it resides now. This was a proto-type that nearly was converted to a convertible during construction.
Its amazing what you found out on the net these days

Alan, maybe it should have had GOLD wheels ;D  (whistle)

This does excellent................very nice and some people just have no taste and  should keep their opinions to themselves at times and that way they won't offend others! and their cars!   ;)
