GT6 III driver's door glass needed

Somebody I know locally (TSSC member, not CT) has a GT6 Mk3 with a badly scratched driver's door glass. She is trying to locate a replacement. Does anyone have one available for sale?

ATM impossible to find. I would go this route and buy doors. Could sell on doors without glass

How badly scratched? I had good results with a glass polishing kit, Frosts I think, not perfect but a big improvement

GT6 Mk 3 same as Spit MK IV/1500 doors???

If so, I've got spare glass for both sides.

GT6 doors have quarter lights as in the e-bay photo..
Spitfire Mk 1V and 1500 don't, at least mine doesn't.
So how can they have the same glass?

No, gt6 has 1/4 lights andthe glass is curved, so handed.

They do NOT have the same glass. As JET points out the GT6 has quarterligths, hence a much "shorter" window.

The mk4 and 1500 has the same profile on the rear edge (square) whereas mk1-3 has a round edge.

So you can retro fit GT6 doors to a MK4 and 1500 with no hassle. You cannot do that with mk1-3. There you have to get the special windows, which are ATM unobtainable.

Yes, of course, I'd forgotten about the quarterlights. I'll advise her to ask around the breakers and trade. If anyone hears of glass available (new or used) please PM me, as it really is the only thing spoiling a very nice car (French blue BTW - very nice!)

$15, comes out to what, 8 pounds?  With shipping couldn't hurt much, & it's not as fragile as plate glass.

I'd email & ask about scratches, general condition, etc.
I've seen this guy's listings before & his descriptions aren't very detailed, probably because he seems to be dismantling cars & pitching them up on ebay at a furious clip.

Following an slight accident with the door glass I'd managed to locate (I won't mention names and risk embarrassing you, Doug. Oops!), I'm now on the lookout again for this item, on behalf of a friend.

Driver's door glass, GT6 Mk 3.
