Tom2000 Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 The last few months i've noticed that my passenger side door has started to catch on the paint work as the gap where the hinges are has become slightly wider.The doors are always shut on her, I can only assume this is down to my girlfriends "slamming" technique. Is there anything I can do to sort this out without replacing the whole door?
willcolumbine Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Sounds like you just need a new door hinge! These are pretty notorious for wearing out and indeed my car is just the same! With the door open is there much play if you lift the door up and down?
Tom2000 Posted March 12, 2008 Author Posted March 12, 2008 not much, but by the looks of it the top hinge has gone and not the bottom, i'll replace all on both doors while i'm at it.Winds just blew a bin in to the rear panel, big dent, already been down to wilcos, gonna sort most of it today hopefully!
