Door aperture seals

Tarting up my tatty interior, I fitted a pair of new aperture seals........these however seem ridiculously thick, much thicker than the old ones, and now my once nicely fitting doors don't fit anymore...I have had to move the striker plates out so the doors can be closed, and of course they now stick out a mm or so at the back..........and need a REALLY good slam!

The old seals are well past their best, but I think there must be better ones out there than the replacements I have, so, who supplies the best aperture seals in tems of not being monstrously thick?

rerebits has good door seals, like the origionals, not like th rubish big rubber ones like iv got and sounds like youve got, slam slam, to shut.

Just checked his site: his are U section like the old ones which worked, and the replacement ones I currently have are O section: cheers, must get some ordered!

You can always be crafty and slice a line all the way along the 'O' to give you a similar effect. That's what I did on mine. Hardly ideal and I need the proper rubber. But an ok bodge to help you right now.
