spitfire mk3 2500 Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 any one of you now something about judson supercharger?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260402849806&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem=
esxefi Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 it's a 'sliding vane' type air displacer more than a compressor, not as efficient as modern screw types that are common nowadays.i expect the bore dimension and surface to be critical as this is where the vanes seal against to create 'boost',any excess wear could make for more expense to rectify it.he doesn't show the inside.'$1700 buy it now' price, mmm :-/ps,may be too small for a 2500 if you're thinking of buyng.
billspit Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 I've never heard of anybody actully getting one to work correctly. Only ones I see now are on Show cars. A lot of these were sold for VWs over here in the 60s.
herald948 Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 I could be wrong, but I don't remember ever hearing of a Judson kit for the Spitfire. The one in the auction is for the TR2-4.
