i'm thinking about it...... 8)

low compression and low boost if using standard components is the order of the day,if you want the engine to last.

As mentioned it is quite common on TR6s - mainly the US spec ones with pathetic compression ratios as standard which makes it a bolt-on job.  Most are the fairly agricultral Moss version with carb but seem to give an impressive increase.

I've seen (on the web) one very nicely done GT6, created by one Steve Downing in the US.  Also with FI and mapped ignition plus Toyota T50 gearbox and special driveshafts.  Was reputed to be about 220bhp but ran into bearing issues (No surprises there).  Steves website is dead or has moved but it was (and possibly still is) a very nicely done conversion.

My take on it is that you can get more power than a GT6 can really handle (without modifying everything) out of a N/A 2.5 or even 2.0 so what's the point.......

I guess I just want to try something different from the 2.5, megajolt, megasquirt, pi route which I think is a great way to go.
I just want to keep the revey 2.0 engine and the supercharger whine should make a great sound.

There was a Hurricane in Triumph World that had a supercharger, looked really nice. If I remember correctly I think it was maroon and the owner emigrated somewhere like Australia and took it with him. A blower on a 6 pot has always been a dream of mine.

I have a bumper sticker somewhere that has a picture of a hot rod with a blower that says "Happiness is being blown"

When my Herald was Supercharged, I ovetook a Porsche Turbo inside the Hatfield Tunnel in 3rd gear, that certainly confused the heck out of him!

He seemed to think the noise was coming from his car!  ;D

Leon- can you give us a quick over view of the relative complexaties involved? I'm presuming it is likely to precipitate the imminent failure of bearing surfaces such as shells and cam journals? :-/
