FG front valance fitting

Hi all

Having a few probs with the fit of my front valance. It is a fibreglass panel. It is sitting out at the far corners. I found this thread Sorry , link no longer available which shows a metal bracket on the corners but there is not one on the fibreglass panel. Is it just a question of drilling a fixing for these brackets on the top edge of the valance?

Thats why mine stuck out after I did the restoration and before the front bumper went on.
When I put the bumper on it held it in place but I did need to put a small plastic spacer between the bumper bracket and valance to get the line right.

So no bracket on the corners for the FB valances? Bugger... I don't have a front bumper - on the look out for one but am hoping to MOT without due to the scarcity of mk1 bumpers...  :'(
