Are you fitting steel or Fibreglass? I just replaced my rear valances with fibreglass ones and after some time fitting they went on and lined up easy enough. The steel ones should be even easier to do. :)

You need some 'U' Type Spire clips and matching self tapping Bolts, this is how the valances where fixed on most Heralds/Vitesses (The very early 948 heralds valances where welded though)

Most of the usual suspects Canleys,  TD Fitchetts, etc should sell them, but it might be cheaper buying direct?

Only the side valances were fitted this way, the rear valance is fitted this way on the four edges that join the sides, and nuts, washers and bolts along the top edge with screws, washers and nuts where the lock latch is secured.
