Quarter valances

I was doing a bit a refurb on the indicators and front valances and uncovered that I have two types of replacement front valances (both fibreglass). One of them seems of better quality as it has a metal insert for the side grill piece whereas the other is just blanked off.  Does anyone know whether the older type are still available and if so from who?

The fit of the non metal insert one is appalling and the front of the car looks a little skewed due to it not fitting correctly.

Alternatively are the metals one much better?

I believe all the metal ones are actually incorrect (that was from a reliable source!) and need cutting and welding to make them right.
so fibreglass seem a fair compromise....I am sure the wonky one can be improved with a little work.

The dodgy one has already been repaired with pop rivets along top edge.. Will have another look to see if a fettle is in order.
