steve_1360 Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 I need a new front, rear & rear quarter valances for my 13/60. I've seen Honeybourne Moulding do them, are they any good? Do they look OK? I'm not looking for a perfect fit, as long as it looks presentable!Cheers Steve
Stu 1986 Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 The rear valances on my car are all FG and they are ok as far as I'm concerned. As long as they're fitted properly that is! The purists don't like them but there is no rust with them.
Zendervision Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 I do not know who manufactured the fibreglass valance on my car but it fits very well and looks better than the rusty metal one it no doubt replaced many years ago. However, it does flex and some of the paint has flaked off. Also someone's caught it while opening the bonnet in the past and it's snapped one of the mounting points off. I glued it back together but tore it again the first time I opened the bonnet ::)
Stu 1986 Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 You can get "Flex Primer" though which is what is used on modern cars so their low speed impact bumpers can move without paint damage.
steve_1360 Posted June 10, 2011 Author Posted June 10, 2011 Thanks for the advice, I've ordered some now so just waiting for them to be moulded :)Cheers Steve
