SteveSpit Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Hi guys, I'm soon to be starting my restoration (least I hope I am), whilst I quite like the look of silver chrome I'm not sure how effective it's be on a white spit. So I've been considering having the bright work smoke chromed.I was wondering if anyone else had done this, opinions and thoughts welcomed and pictures more than perfect. Thanks guys
aar0sc Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I read that as smoking chrome. Nope, never tried smoking chrome :P
ferny Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 On a 1500 shape with matching wheels and black trim I think it'd look ok. On anything rounder it'd probably look like dirty old bumpers from a distance or like a modification which isn't in-keeping with the age of the car.
cook1e Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Matt Black can look quite good on a square tail car so smoked chrome would probably look good also.
SteveSpit Posted December 23, 2011 Author Posted December 23, 2011 question is do I go bumpers, mirrors, windcreen capping and fuel cap or just stick with the bumpers?
