TroyBeros Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Hi everyone, I need to find a chrome centre strip for a Vitesse bonnet.Any ideas on a good source? Also, must be able to post to Western Australia (I guess in a cardboard tube of some description)

midgeman Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 The trim that fits on the centre of the bonnet can be found quite frequently on ebay and usually at a reasonable price. The same applies to the trim around the rear light clusters. Send me the measurement of the strip if you can as my Herald is parked some distance from my house for the next few weeks.

If you can't get fixed up in the next few days then send me a PM and check what is there.I've no idea what the postage costs would be, do you have any English relatives who might be travelling your way in the near future?
Clive Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 chop it in half!eek, just done a parcelforce price. About £60 (assuming 95x5x5 cm) or £32 via interparcel.Looks like it will have to be a mint one to justify the price! Worth double checking all the other chrome, won't be much extra for more bits.

I needed some other parts as well, so Bill's on the job :)The reason it's been left so late is that I had one, but turns out someone with another Vitesse out here seems to have swapped mine for a 1200 Herald item - too short.I did see them on ebay at GBP10. I think Canleys list them new at GBP15.30
