rattly clutch, also numberplate question

when im idling, theres a rattle coming from the clutch/gearbox. when i pusht eh clutch in, the rattle stops. its a brand new clutch only replaced a few weeks ago. and all the linkage in the remote gear change is new. any ideas what the rattle is ?

also, i tried looking on the web but to no joy - where did 'PXD' reg plates originate ?

Correct. Also did you bleed the clutch, because you may have play in the push rod to slave that can also rattle.......but brg is the best bet

didnt replace the thrust bearing as the one on was only 6 months old. didnt bleed the clutch, i'll get onto it when some dry weather turns up.

so portsmouth or west sussex then ? hmmm. i keep meaning to send away to the dvla for the info they have on my car.

PX is West Sussex, but on a plate that is PXD, XD would be the identifier!

XD is a London issue :)

A V888 and a fiver will get you the DVLA history printout - very interesting reading and well worth doing!
