sean stagger
Have removed all the dash from my '77 stag in order to refurb dash and veneer the woodwork. All other knobs on the center console had a spring loaded grub that released the knob but the choke doesnt seem to have one. Do i have to pull the whole cable through after disconnecting from carbs or is there another way? removed indicator light switch and everything else but cant see what next?? Apologoies if this is a repeat appearance but have searched threads on this and cant see any.

CharliesStag
Are there two types of cable for the Stag? Mine (with two cables originating from one cable) can have the knob removed separately to the cable.
sean stagger
my cable divides into 2 almost immediately and can see no way of undoing knob. Can you describe how you undo yours just in case mine is similar? Hve a few days until veneers arrive so want to fully explore options. Cant wait to redo veneers as she will really look good then, old ones water damaged.

I've had two replacements, one fixed and one like yours.
nibby
Just read this but guessing your choke knob has been glued on if you can get a good grip on it behind the radio hole and then with your other hand keep trying to twist the choke knob back and forwards with a bit of luck the glue will relent.
