[face=Courier][/face]Good Morning All.

Be glad of the experts advice!! Warning light stays on - took the switch off and it works. What or how does the cable
work the switch please? My Trio -matic just reaching 80000 and going like a bird!! New exhaust, new tyres and a good polish..Wheeeee...
Oh by the way I offer the following tip which I proved a few times. Rusted/tight bolts particularly exhaust ones. Warm a little and apply candle wax then heat up nice and hot. May need doing twice. Usually works.
Ta in advance.

the wires you are looking for are a blue and a black. my guess is that the wire has been chaffed on the dash chassis and is shorting out.

Turn on the ignition and then pull out the blue wire from its conector, and if the light stays on, then the blue wire is at fault, and if the light goes out, then the switch is at fault.

hope this helps.

Chokey update - Got it working!! Undid the electrical switch (1 screw) andits activated by the cable but very sensitive. Gave the cable a slight bend with a paper clip!! Works a treat now.. All the best to ALL
