Einar
Hi, I recently got the choke cable from Rimmer, part no.: 401458: http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-401458. However, this comes as one assembly (knob molded to the cable) but did not have any label on the knob. Then I decided to get for a more expensive solution: Part no 401900-1 which is the cable and the separate knob: 704873. Links: http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-401900__1 and the knob: http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-704873. I’ve not yet fitted it but it seems ok and the look is like the original one. Even though it was far more expensive than part no: 401458 it's in my mind "the right" cable/knob. The cable and knob presently fitted to my Vitesse is in one piece with the labeled knob molded to the cable (like part no 401458 above) – whether this is original or not I do not know……. garyf
The original Choke Knob on the Mk2 Vitesse is 'T' Shaped (like the 13/60 Heralds) and is actually moulded onto the cable? Rimmers show it as Part Number - 143136 and state No Longer Available :-/I have a feeling the 13/60 Choke Cable/Knob is to short for a Vitesse but I may be wrong (Rimmers show the same Part Number for the 13/60 Choke Cable?)It looks like a secondhand one is all you will find, keep your eye's peeled on E-Bay or post a wanted add, you may get lucky. Dogsbody47uk
Canley Classics list the T Knob choke cable as CC15, Price £12.75, available to order. Don't know whether that is for 13/60 or Vitesse, or Both! Cheers, Dave.
