another compression test

as id said in my previous post the compression test on my mk2 2500  gave 100 psi on each cylinder with a dry test all the spark plugs fitted bar the one in the cylinder i was testing plus the engine wasnt fully warmed up, today i got the engine fully warmed up removed all the spark plugs and tested it again turning it over for longer on each cylinder and got 155 psi  on each cylinder so im happy with it now, next il be taking it to mowatts rolling road on the A127 to get it set up  :)

IggyPop ;)  its not the final cranking figure your intrested in
but more so just how far the gauge jumps on first compression stroke.

lots of cranks just show all cyls are pumping same,if readings same,

think about it, an engine can turn over lots of times to build up compression on the gauge,
but when the engine is running its only got yaa go to get the comp up, then its exhaust opens.

doo a reading with engine on first comp stroke.   or doo a running test,
only need to take out one plug at a time, after starting, re set gauge,
and it should be about 120 ish for a 25/65 cam

155 seems lowish, got a loong duration cam in.!!
