My prob is I want to run the water pump to run a bit faster as the car is mainly used in stop/ start low rev situations and the engine / drivers cabin gets very hot. glang Posted July 27, 2019 Share Posted July 27, 2019 Hi, if your engine is keeping cool enough I dont think you need to alter the water pump to make the cabin cooler. The usual reason for a hot cabin (its never going to be cool) is down to hot air coming in from the engine bay because there are holes and gaps in the bulkhead and gearbox cover. Its essential to block all these as well as insulate the cover as much as possible. Also if your heater water valve doesnt close fully then your heater will always be giving out warm air. In my car Ive actually installed a separate ball valve so that I can completely shut off the heater in the summer.... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
