Paudman
As the title suggests I've been refurbishing an early Herald water pump - the seal has been supplied in the wrong size twice causing a slight delay, but I'm confident I can get one eventually (anyone know if the Tr6 or Stag pump is the same size?); bearings are easy however I can't find the rubber spinner anywhere; part number 60313 or item 8 in the attached diagram.http://www.canleyclassics.com/?xhtml=xhtml/diagram/herald1200waterpump.html&xhtmlcatalogue=xhtml/catalogue/herald1200.html&category=engine&xsl=diagram.xslAnyone know a source? I presume I can get the circlip (item 10, part number 500047) easily enough... or maybe not?
Mark Hammond
I admire your keeness, but this has been a problem for a number of years, I too have the original, early pump, sadly not on the car. I had to concede defeat and fit a cheap Indian made copy that probably will only last 3000 miles.M.
Zendervision
Just curious, what's #26 'Germany only fan balance piece' in that diagram for?
junkuser
I could not find replacement bits so did a bit of machining and fitted the seal arrangement from a Holden.A bit of work but at least I now have a ceramic seal in a pump that looks original.
