Pete Lewis
if this is a replacement part , what is the part number of the pump supplied, if its not a replacement it is it just the pump pulley thats out of line or how do the crank and generator look ???? what engine have you got ??? wukkie1
hi pete thanks, its a 2000 1968 its been rebiult and the pump pulley needs to go about 1/4 inch further on the shaft to bring it in line with the others, its the one that came off the car bill
GT6DavidMK1
Could be a early spitfire water pump, very similar, but there are 4 holes in the pulley for the fan? ;)David.

Pete Lewis
with david on this ,think its had the wrong pump fitted at some time some spits have a different offset theres no fix as spindle and housing and pulley positions are controlled by flange or circlip, Pete
wukkie1
hi ive got an earlier vitesse 2000 engine and have swapped over the pumps line up ok. hope it dont leak, are they easy to re seal regards bill
Pete Lewis
seal the bolt threads and under the heads some are in water jacket tappings and can evoke a dribble .use a paper joint and a smear of sealant should be fine, the spindle seal is in most cases integral with the bearing and cannot be tampered with , some old pumps had a seperate seal wiyh a grease nipple to lube the gland , getting a bit rare now ,and doubtfull if any seals are available Pete
