pmh
Has anybody got experience of using one of these? Is there enough clearance inside the head?Alternatively does anyone have one to lend or sell in Herts/North /WestLondon area.http://www.workshopping.co.uk/product/reverse-action-spark-plug-thread-chaser-14mm/MS003/I am reluctant to use a conventional tap as the the thread looks very good at top (But probably self cut!) and the bottom half looks good, with damage about 1/3rd way down. Steve AKA vitessesteve
I would be wary of any swarf falling into the combustion chamber whatever tool I used.
Stuart Wilson
cover the tap with grease and keep taking it back out cleaning it reapply grease and repeat. The grease holds on to the swarf. What we did years ago on the vauxhall astra alloy heads when the spark plug threads weren't the best
