Hi All!

I am looking to re new the tyres on my PI.  I am using Stag alloys and currently use Bridgestones 185 x 70 x 14 88H.

I probably cover around 2000 - 3000 miles per year as well as the odd Club T event now and again; RBRR, 10CR, or C2C on top of this mileage.

I do not think I drive particularly hard (cornering etc) but do keep a fair speed for sustained times on motorways etc.

A friend of mine suggested buying tyres online as he can change the tyres, valves and balance the wheels for me to try and keep costs down.

Any sensible(!) suggestions as to which brand would be appreciated!

I’m a massive fan of Avon tyres, fitted them to various cars (classic & new) they’re quiet, economical and last, even when compared to the premium brands they’re better on all ratings......but that’s just me, love em 👍

I'd go for Falken Sincera SN832A Ecorun a great all-round tyre with excellent wet grip.

Think they are discontinued, replaced by the sn110. But seems they too are good.

Lots of people liking uniroyals. Nice soft compound, so wear a little faster, but great grip and again, outstanding in the wet.

Buying online should save about £60-80 a set of 4.

Interesting, 185/70r14  SN832A still listed on BlackCircles, wonder if it's just remaining stock?
