michael j smith
I have owned this Spit for 15 years. Over £4K spent on her all mechanicals have been renewed or renovated. All parts receipts from Canley available. Body refitted, final body work prep. required. Most parts available to complete the job, set of carpets, windscreen rubber and seat pads are the only items required. I have the V5 it has a 2 letter 4 number registration. OIRO. £1,000 for a quick sale.

Baxter
Nick is surely right. Michael, did you mean to type £10,000 instead?
Nick Jones
Realistically a nice car is £10 - 14k. Even allowing £5k for paint (my GT6 was half that though I did a fair bit of the initial prep)….. and a couple of weeks pro labour to put it together….. There aren’t so many round tails left, especially the early ones. £5k would be fair, and even then I’d say there’s margin in it. It would cost more to get to where you are unless you were really lucky with your starting point. You can always come down…. Ben Hutchings
Agreed, double it and someone surely will still have your arm off. @michael j smith if you want to edit the existing post, I’m sure the others here will delete their posts like it never happened! If they can’t lemme know.
PeteStupps
£1000 is very cheap. Wonder if I can squeeze another project in... 🤔 I do think some of the advertised prices are misleading though, I watched a very tidy original mk2 sell for under £8k on ebay the other day. If you search the sold listings for roundtails they seem to all be under £10k. But I agree this is underpriced.
Gordon
Hi Michael I am interested in your Spitfire if it is still available. Where is it located? We are in the Borders region. If you send me your contact no. I will call you back at a time that suits you. Kind regards Gordon
Tim Bancroft
Sadly Gordon, I believe it has been purchased by a CT member who lived in the region of the seller. Sorry to state this.
