carlton x Posted October 27, 2021 Share Posted October 27, 2021 It’s been a while since I last posted so thought I’d show you all my project , I brought him in 2018 , a blind buy off eBay I made a cheeky offer and it was excepted,was very happy when he arrived,car was solid not much rust and the engine ran perfect, just looked a bit scruffy, so I went about doing the body work to get it ready for a respray in its original white , then a change of mind to gloss black , the interior was red so I found some cheap red leather seats out of a mk1 TT and after a bit of fettling got them fitted perfectly, got some GT6 wheels painted them white had them on for a while as had original wheels banded ,just the two for the rear, forward to 2020 and I decided to sell him as I already had an MGB and preferred driving that , then I thought why not fit a 1500 engine so I did changed diff UJs etc and had prop shortened and here we are now all driving well , its in fact very quick and I love driving him , next thing to do is have the wheels powder coated in a chrome/ high gloss silver 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
