Colin Caygill
I saw a car advertised the other day, I think it was an old Vauxhall, and it was fitted with a Zetec fuel injected engine. Very nice, but can't qualify for Historic Status, I. E. Mot exemption as it's too radically changed from original. But I wondered, does it still get the tax free status? Anyone in the know? Roger Keys
Yes. Tax free is related solely to age.

So just like my Spitfire. And as Roger says, tax based on age so OK, but still requires MoT.
Colin Caygill
Thanks. Yes, that's as I thought. It was just the phrase "Historic" which threw me.
