Darren Sharp
I’ve done a ‘basic’ tune on the Damson Dog and it’s idling better but the general running is not right . The car drives strongly but I think the old distributor has had its day as it pinks one minute and not the next under similar conditions. Thinking back that’s the reason I took it out of Olaf so possibly failing mechanically. Do other peoples engines struggle to cope with electric fans ? As soon as it cuts in the engine struggles to idle and stalls making static tuning a bit of a chore . IMG_2640.MOV
yorkshire_spam
The Dolomite (1850) copes fine with the electric fan - but it's an Auto! It idles smoothly even though the revs do drop slightly.
RobPearce
I've never had a problem with electric fans, although mine have PWM controllers that bring the fan in gently rather than in one big hit.
