Personally I've found their service to be fine, and their parts to be either fine or completely unfit for purpose in ways that have wasted a lot of my time. It's a lottery. glang
A lot of items sold are common to many suppliers so will be unfit for purpose whereever you buy them (although the price might vary considerably) however the response you get when complaining marks the difference and should be used in deciding where to shop.... I bought a new pair of front stub axles from Rimmers, assuming they would be one of those 'common to all suppliers' items. After fitting them to the vertical links I had a right old game setting the wheel bearings, to eventually discover the stub axles were 3mm too long. Replacements from Canleys were the right length and clearly made somewhere different from the Rimmers batch. In fairness to Rimmer bros they accepted my explanation and refunded the money. glang
Yes it does depend on the component. Something turned up in a lathe like a stub axle can be made in many places but anything cast or stamped is likely to come from one source. There isnt sufficient demand for our spares now to warrant multiple companies investing to make the same thing...
