Llessur
Possibly a stupid question but after missing the last two summers due to the Spit6 being off the road I'm really keen to get this one solved quickly before I miss any more of the good driving weather!I have a problem with an eternally dripping carb - they're Stomberg CD150s without the emissions stuff (i.e. adjustable jets). The carb is leaking from around the jet adjusting screw (see my high-tech picture). I have replaced the o-ring as shown twice (two different suppliers) but it still leaks. Is it worth replacing the other o-ring as shown (think this seals the bottom of the float bowl), or am I barking up the wrong tree? Would this o-ring allow fuel to escape down the side of the jet assembly? The fuel is definitely leaking from around the jet screw. Any other ideas short of a full carb rebuild/replacement? I just want to drive the thing now :(Cheers muchly in advance.

Deleted User
if you take the part out and inspect the o ring you'll prob see that it's perished and worth replacing and would certainly cause petrol to leek from bottom
Clive
Try formula one (hollingbury) they had the o-rings on the shelf a year ago.....and they were surprised to have had stock. On that basis I suspect they still have them!
JSBulmer
I took apart both of my CD150's trying to figure out why the fuel milage on my car sucks so badly (8 MPH).I don't recall seeing the o-ring (that you have not replaced) and checking my photos I still don't see it. But from the blow up of the jets it might be a good thing to replace. Provided its not seeping through the gasket around the bowl.jb
junkuser
Both should be replaced and a check for scratches in the surface in the bowl onto which the larger O ring seals.Remember that the cross section of the larger O ring is greater than that of those in the common O ring kits so get the correct ones.
